Why it Matters
Nonprofits play a vital role in shaping vibrant, healthy communities — meeting needs, sparking creativity, and opening doors for people of all ages. The Shallow Ford Foundation is honored to partner with organizations in Yadkin County and Lewisville‑Clemmons by offering grant opportunities that help bring meaningful, community‑building programs to life. Through these grants, we aim to support innovative ideas, strengthen organizational capacity, and inspire long‑term impact for the people we serve.
Grant Opportunities
The Foundation offers two annual competitive grant opportunities designed to uplift and empower nonprofits serving Yadkin County and Lewisville‑Clemmons.
Key Dates
Applications Open: August 1, 2026 | Application Deadline: September 24, 2026
Purpose
The Shore Community Grants supports nonprofit‑led initiatives that create lasting, measurable impact within Yadkin County. Funding is available for new ideas or expanding programs that have already shown meaningful results. Proposals should show a clear path to sustainability, demonstrating how the project will attract or leverage additional support over time. Collaborative efforts involving multiple nonprofits are encouraged to strengthen community outcomes.

Up to $12,000
Who Can Apply
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or governmental agencies (Individuals are not eligible.)

Purpose
The Community Grants for Lewisville-Clemmons invests in nonprofit initiatives that strengthen the quality of life in Lewisville and Clemmons. Grants support programs that address unmet needs, expand organizational capacity, and deepen community connections. Like the Yadkin County opportunity, proposals should demonstrate a path to long‑term sustainability and may involve multi‑organization collaborations. Special consideration is given to proposals that support seniors and address unmet needs of children in the community.

Up to $7,500
Who Can Apply
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or governmental agencies (Individuals are not eligible.)

Lewisville and/or Clemmons

- Unmet needs of children

What Grants will not support
The Foundation does not fund:
- Fundraising events, sponsorships, memberships, promotional items
- Capital campaigns, endowments, annual campaigns
- Activities lacking measurable or sustainable outcomes
- Clubs, sports teams, student travel, or membership‑restricted activities
- Cemeteries
- Political or lobbying activities prohibited by the IRS
- Organizations that re‑grant funds to other nonprofits
- Public agencies requesting support for mandated or government‑funded services
- Individual grants or awards
