Applicants must plan to attend a 4-year college or university to pursue a degree, with preference given to students interested in a career in teaching, technology, or history. Applicants must have a strong history of community service. Applicants must also demonstrate a financial need to pay for college, which is not met by other opportunities, such as athletic scholarships.
Up to $2,000 for a student who graduated from high school before 2022 who is a resident of Forsyth County. Applicants must be either working towards completing an academic or vocational program. Preference given to students planning to or currently attending Winston-Salem State University.
Up to $5,000 annually for four years (two years if attending Forsyth Tech), based on student need, for a 2025 high school graduate from Forsyth County planning to attend Forsyth Tech or Winston-Salem State University. Applicants must have demonstrated significant financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who attended Cook Elementary School in Winston-Salem.
