We are grateful to the Shallow Ford Foundation donors who have made these 2022 programs possible at Lewisville's new Mary Alice Warren Community Center.

The Shallow Ford Foundation announces the award of 11 grants to local organizations bringing programs to the new Mary Alice Warren Community Center in Lewisville in 2022.

Grants of up to $2,500 each were awarded through a competitive grant application. A team of community volunteers evaluated and recommended funding for these programs to the Foundation’s board of directors.

Programs will be provided by notable local museums, arts councils, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations. Over the course of the coming year the community will be able to enjoy concerts, art classes, exhibitions, lectures, even swing dance lessons. A complete list of organizations and programs are listed below.

“These grants are made possible by our donors and illustrate how local philanthropists can help bring arts and culture to our communities. We hope others will continue this spirt of giving and help us support more offerings in the future,” said Shallow Ford Foundation President/CEO Sandi Scannelli.

The new community center was named the Mary Alice Warren Community Center after Lewisville resident Mary Alice Warren, who donated the15-acre site on which the community center was built. The community center is located on Lewisville-Clemmons Road next to Jack Warren Park, a 15-acre multi-use park also donated to the Town by Mary Alice Warren that opened in 2010.

Details on the programs will be announced throughout 2022. Most programs will be offered free of charge, while some will carry a nominal registration fee.
